Hi everyone! I’m writing from sunny Kansas City, MO, where I’m attending and presenting at an academic conference. The city is actually pretty hoppin’! (Much more than the postcard lets on!) I’m having a really great, intellectually-stimulating time, which is refreshing since academia and I have not been on the best of terms lately.
Anyway, because of all this conference-ing, I have not had time to compile a proper Friday Five. In lieu of that, check out what I ate last night from Fud, one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever eaten at!
Raw, living rainbow salad. Soooo delicious, fresh, and energizing!
Raw, vegan, sugar-free sundae! Cashew “ice cream” with maca caramel sauce, goji berries, blueberries, cacao nibs, and pecans! Indulgent, but still so very healthful!
Also, go sign this petition if you would like the see the livelihoods of food service workers improve through collective bargaining and fair wages!
