Happy Monday! Thanks for the kind comments and emails about my last post. I know I’m not the only one who has endured difficult times, and I’ve been grateful to have such amazing friends, family, and yoga to see me through.
(Oh yeah…something I did over break was spend a day with my first best friend from kindergarten, Kimberly Stakes, who just started a photography business! She took wonderful pictures of me in yoga poses, doing food-related things, and also some academic pictures. I’m excited to continue posting them on the blog!)
I’ve written before about how the yoga studio where I teach requires us to play music during our classes. Some people love this, some people hate it…I’ve grown to love it, especially because I believe I have impeccable taste in music and that it always enhances rather than distracts from my classes. ;) There’s a bit of a blog trend to share yoga and workout playlists, so I thought I’d share my most recent winter playlists for my beginner yoga class and for the Yoga Sculpt class I teach. I am working on creating my late-winter playlists for both, so recommendations are welcome!
Here is the playlist for the Vinyasa class:
(Oh look, another picture of me doing yoga!)
And a very different tone for the Yoga Sculpt class which needs a lot of upbeat pop music to get people through cardio circuits, free weights, lunges, and squats! (I have so.much.FUN.teaching this class!):
Oh, here I am again, doing a headstand.
What have you been listening to during your workouts or yoga-ing?
